A $42 dress for a 4 year old on sale for $21 is still a bad deal.
Disagree. My 4 year old has been able to wear the same dresses for two years in a row now (for the first time!). If it's a well loved favorite that she wears once a week for a few months per year, two years in a row, then $21 seems perfectly reasonable. My kid loves her HA twirly and rainbow tiered dresses and I can't find similar ones that aren't weird Amazon knock offs.
Wow! That’s amazing. It works size wise to wear two years in a row?
Surprisingly yes! They were longer last year, obviously, but the cut is so loose (since there's no waistline) that the tanks and short sleeve styles never looked huge. I think next summer the arm holes will be getting snug, but we'll see.

My son has been wearing the same shirt for 2 years, and PJs for nearly 3! Their sizing is magic
Anonymous wrote:New poster here, just came by to say that I am completely turned off by HA's new return policy. I placed a large order online at the end of August (I don't live near a store), with one of the items being a pair of baby pants. They were on sale for about $12. My son wore them for the first time this afternoon (I hadn't even washed them) and the seam down the back is coming undone. He literally wore them for a few hours and he's not walking yet, so it's not like he could have been that rough on them.
I called HA and they said the new return policy only is good for workmanship defects. I said that this is surely a workmanship defect. They said I can mail the pants back and they'll decide. They did say that they'd cover the shipping (they're snail mailing me a return label)... but it's barely worth my time to package them up and go to the post office. By the time I get the replacement pants, they may not even fit him anymore.
It's not like I'm trying to cheat them out of a $12 pair of baby pants, especially since there were many other more expensive items in my order.
What gets me is the customer service rep didn't even offer a perfunctory apology for the poor quality and my dissatisfaction. Really awful customer service. I'm done with them.

Don't your kids wear slips under loose low necked or flimsy shirts? I buy camisoles/tanks. I don't want my kid bending down and showing everything when she is playing.
OP here - so i looked up the slip - it was $36 (but i purchased 2 of them). I put them under her dresses. It makes them fuller and some of her dresses are not lined, so it provides comfort as an undershirt and light cotton skirt under her dresses.
It is just my preference to maintain some traditional ways to dress my daughter.

$36 for that? Wow
NP here. I buy these ‘slips’ on sale ($23-24) each and my daughters wear them as nighties in the summer. They don’t like wearing tight cotton pjs in the summer and only like cotton (not polyester) probably because it’s more breathable? The looser pjs always seem to be polyester for kids...yuck. Anyways that’s why I get them and it works for us!
