I wish I had known that some parents would be paid to work for the club and that a group of parents would become part of the travel club's organizational structure.
I'm fine with a team manager, because it helps coaches logistically but no parent should be paid to work for a club, should be a paid admin for the club or should be part of decision making for the club. It's a conflict of interest, and it's unprofessional.

What are YOU contributing? Spots on the top team should never be given due to a parents volunteer or monetary contributions. They usually are though up until a certain age and then thus happens...talent wins out.

Politics and expected favors.
None of that should matter, including whatever you (are you serious??) or your daughter contributed previously.
The only relevant question is : is she talented enough to be in the top 15-16 kids to fill the roster? If somebody better comes along or is below and has developed better, then she rightfully should be cut for the better player.
