What? Homelander is a homicidal maniac.

Only with those that oppose him, the citizens who support him will thrive.

My older teen wants to watch it though, so I will likely stick with it.

She does have Graves disease, which accounts for some of the change in her face. What brothers me is her lip injections, which make her voice sound muffled and weird. It's like her lips are overstuffed and can't move properly to form the sounds of words. I think she had her buccal fat removed, too, which may also affect how her speech sounds.

I hate this show, it is too dark and mean and cynical. I wanted to like it but I think it's sick. It starts out making valid critiques of culture and politics that I think are interesting and worth exploring, but then becomes so obsessed with it's own portrayal of those critiques that I think it almost glorifies precisely the stuff it is wanting to criticize. I just think it lost the plot.

Also it made me feel bad while watching it. I also feel this way about Euphoria.

Yes it was very sad. I kind of wish we got more perspective from the every day folks that are watching homelander take over..

I am not so sure he will die in the end. I do hope he loses his powers and then goes to jail. Seems like a fitting end.

Bet he is killed. In the books Black Noir(who is a clone of Homelander) kills Homelander.

I think Marie Moreau, Blood Bender, will kill Homelander

I'm watching but I haven't watched episode 7 of the final season yet so I'll probably check out of this thread until then.

Started watching some of Season 4, and I find the Trump allegories distracting. I assume the books were not like this, since they parallel recent events so closely? They even had this guy in a background scene:

I gave up in the first episode of the last season when the guy shrunk himself, climbed into the shaft of the penis of another guy and then exploded him.

That was the end of it for me. Which was a shame as I'd really enjoyed the previous episodes / seasons.
