I just can't bother to even engage you but will post this just to shut you up. The highest bracket in the oldest division is comprised of six ECNL teams out of 12 or 13. Some clubs are committed to JeffCup. Also notice that several ECNL teams were placed in the lower bracket. Notice that in most of the age groups, you have ECNL clubs placed in lower brackets, which should help you understand that some ECNL teams are not considered on the same level as certain non-ECNL/DA teams.
Certain clubs are committed to JeffCup and Bethesda Cup and will do them despite also doing ECNL showcases.
JeffCup 2019
OHIO ELITE ECNL (OS)
MCLEAN ECNL 01 GIRLS (VA)
RICHMOND UNITED ECNL U19 2000 (VA)
BETHESDA SC ECNL UNION 01 (MD)
CAROLINA ELITE SA ECNL (SC)
PSA NATIONAL '00 (NJ)
SAC SHOWCASE PREMIER G00 (MD)
BRYC ELITE ACADEMY ECNL U18-19 (VA)
LOWER MERION SC STORM (PAE)
NJ STALLIONS 00-01 STAMPEDE EDP-NL (NJ)
BEACH FC 01/00G RED (VA)
CENTURY 00 GOLD (PAW)
Yes, and far less attend and the competition becomes heavily skewed towards NPL and EDP level teams. At U16 only 5 of 11 teams in the top bracket were ECNL. Compared to U13 when 8 out of 12 teams were either DA or ECNL teams. The top bracket does a total flip in the prime showcasing years.
At the current ratio Pipeline would only play 1 ECNL team out 3 possible games when in years earlier it would have been 2 ECNL teams. The point isn't that ECNL teams don't continue to go to Jeff Cup or other tourneys like WAGS but that it is no longer a priority showcase for those teams and fewer of them attend over time.
I don't deny your point. ECNL showcases become the main priority for ECNL clubs. It is an issue for clubs like Pipeline and is increasingly becoming more of an issue. The point I continue to make is that there will always be non-DA/ECNL teams like Pipeline that are capable of competing with the top ECNL teams. Such clubs will have a more difficult job of getting exposure to the top DI programs. It is not impossible but is more challenging.

That being said, those trying to make counter arguments just expose why parents here really haven't a clue. Anyone who has an ECNL that has played Pipeline knows how strong the club is especially at 05. I don't believe that of the half dozen ECNL/DA teams that Pipeline has played, it has lost a game and those include victories over teams going to the ECNL nationals. Every self-respecting elite coach in the area will acknowledge that Pipeline is playing on a different level. Outside of FCV DA and maybe the revised Bethesda ECNL, no other local team is likely to get placed in the same bracket as Pipeline at a serious tournament.
I have kids that played in both ECNL and EDP and I would argue that the top half of the top EDP league is just competitive as the top half of the ECNL NE conference.
I really think you folks need to take off your ECNL/DA blinders. Both leagues are strong but there are teams in EDP that are talented enough to play in ECNL or DA but do not. Also, Pipeline is now affiliated with the Boys/Girls DA.
06 Loudoun has beaten Pipeline few times recently. So, not sure what that means...

Arlington above VDA
Fair. FCV seemed to struggle in the Spring. My rankings would look like:
Girls ECNL/DA 06
1. VDA
2. Arlington
3. FCV
---------Seems to be rather marginal play below this...mostly losing records----------
4. Bethesda
5. BRYC
6. Loudoun
7. Maryland United
8. McLean
9. MU DA

Once these teams moved to the top leagues in the country, well, we have seen what has happened. I'm not saying any of them are "bad" but their regular competition is not great and can lead to an inflated idea of how great they are.
You folks exude ignorance. Notice that most of Pipeline's 05 team could play DA FT but decided to stay with Pipeline. To be fair, most ECNL teams in the area have not even qualified to play in the same bracket as Pipeline. Again, don't trust your own assessment, which deeply flawed due to your hubris but ask any ECNL coach. As a mater of act, the Pipeline coach was the WS MD DA director (he still might be the TD for the news DA under Armour).
DA/ECNL are great leagues but let's not ignore other high quality non-ECNL/DA teams. That is the point I want to make by using Pipeline as an example.
Many brackets are done with gotsoccer points. Edp teams are awarded points for league play and participate in more tournaments garnering points. Stop using the tournament assignors as god on this.
Moron, ECNL teams are given consideration for that fact yet some ECNL teams are considered high caliber and placed in top brackets while others are not. At JeffCup, VDA was not considered high enough caliber to warrant placement in the top bracket while Bethesda and Mclean were at 05. Just recognize that you are an overzealous parent who really does not know quality soccer. Any coach of an elite league will twll you that Pipleine is one of the best teams around. It is not an argument. That is a fact demonstrated by the teams record against quality opponents.
For the idiot that commented about Pipeline beating FCV's B team by a low margin, just consider that it beat them a week before 5-1. It also destroyed Bethesda's B team 9-0 or 9-1 before beating them again in State Cup 7-0 or 7-1.

Appreciate the name calling and anger. Congrats on smacking around those B teams. All hail pipeline.
