Barca's 2001 team is in the semi-finals of the state cup after defeating Loudoun Red 3-0 and FC Richmond 3-1.

I guess other terms that could be used to not trigger sensitive eyes are long ball, route 1, volleyball, or Bolivian style (mostly kidding about the last one)

That’s not the origin, genius. It was used to describe basketball in underprivileged black neighborhoods long before this reference.

Yes, he’s using a racial term. Good God, get over it.

No it’s used to describe a disorganized style, it’s used in multiple sports. One use is to describe a type of street basketball. Why are you offended by this?

You can use the term all you like, but it has roots in racism. I’m sorry that offends your sensibilities, but that doesn’t make it untrue.

I don't even think long ball encapsulates what he means. It's chaotic, it's scrappy and it gives preference to those players that can best muscle the other player in 50/50 situations.

Does the genius who is defending this term wonder _how_ it was coined? Does the jungle have anything to do with basketball whatsoever? Of course not. Similar to the term “jungle fever.” I’m sure that refers to an affair with no rules and selfish behavior as well. Right.

Love how some people are so racist they don’t even know it.

I’m a South American, from the jungle... you’re reaching.

You don’t know the origin of the term. Being South American has nothing to do with it.

Not a strong showing from Barca's 03, 04, 05 teams in State Cup. 01 team is still playing.

Barca 01 team obliterated Loudoun's top team. The score could have easily been more than 3-0.

Lol. Loudoun’s top 01 team played in ECNL that day.

You are right. Loudoun's top team had two losses in ECNL that weekend, 1-4 and 0-1. Loudoun lost badly in both competitions in this age group

And they would have beaten Barca’s team

Would have, should have, could have.... Loudoun 01 is out of the state cup, Barca advanced.

Ummm. Wrong team, sorry, that was Loudoun’s B team.
