This is exactly us too.
Same, and same for my parents. Aside from the pervasive pedophilia with clergy, I don’t want my children brought up in an organization where women can’t be leaders. What a horrible signal for children.
Mother Teresa, Pope hugging her, Cardinals falling all over themselves to get close to her. Horrible signal.

Because there are so many more convicted molesters in public schools. So many more cover-ups in public schools. There's just not as much press about it because, well, that's a matter of opinion.
This. By OP's logic, public school parents should pull their kids out.
You're seriously trying to argue that our fractured public school system, with no single leader, is the same as the Catholic church? Really?

Not so much anymore. We have tried intentionally to distance ourselves from the Catholic church. No church is perfect because people aren’t perfect. But we have women priests, we welcome everyone, we are LGTBQ friendly, and we don’t tolerate sex abuse. Just a few of the many differences. Also, Science. We know that bread and wine don’t literally magically transform into human flesh and blood just because a man in a collar says it does. And if it did, ew! cannibalism isn’t cool!
/former Catholic
So sad. Hope you will find your way home.
