I work from home so I am always home but my dh is rarely home before 7:30-8pm. He usually huddled home to see the kids and help put them to bed and then logs in again after they go to sleep. We live about 12 miles from the city (where dh works) so his commute is around 30-45 minutes depending on traffic.

I work 9 hour days and dh works 10 hour days. We are only paid for 8 hours so all of this is just gravy to our employers. We are both paid about 90-100k which isn’t bad, but not amazing for masters degrees in DC
