NP. Maybe it’s mean, but being bullied can really leave scars. So the bully got to feel some pain for 15-20 minutes after making PP feel pain, fear, self-loathing, dread, etc. for a long stretch of time. It’s not the best, but it’s understandable and now maybe PP can close that chapter.

Karma is someone cutting you off in traffic and then at the next red light, they proceed through the intersection when the light is green and get t-bones by someone running the red light.

Karma is your little brother bragging about getting the last ice cream bar and saying no when you ask if you can have a bite and then promptly dropping the ice cream on the ground.

If you DO something to cause the "karma" on someone else, be prepared for it to bite you back.

There is also good karma, IMO. Back when those Hatchimals were all the rage and sold out everywhere, I managed to snag one on the maker's website. It wasn't the one my niece wanted, but it was still a Hatchimal. A few weeks later I had to make an early morning Target run for work and just happened upon a display of 10 Hatchimals they were stocking, including the one my niece wanted. I grabbed it and listed the other one for sale on a FB yard sale group. Others were listing them for up to $250 and people were paying, but I felt bad doing that, so I listed it for the same price I paid. The person who bought it from me thanked me for not jacking up the price and said good karma was going to come my way. Sure enough, a few weeks later I had a voicemail on my phone from a recruiter. I wasn't looking for a job and didn't have my resume posted anywhere at the time. She got my information from someone working at that company who'd previously worked with me over 5 years prior. They remembered I was excellent at doing the job in question and wanted to reach out to see if I was interested. It was a huge pay increase, better benefits, and much closer to my home. Good karma, indeed!

And it often feels completely unfair. I would love to invite some of these posters to spend the day with me. I'm spending the afternoon/evening with a six month old patient in our pediatric wing. She will probably die this afternoon. Her parents didn't deserve any of this. She didn't deserve any of it. As a chaplain and more importantly, as a human being, I urge some of you to really think about the pain you seem to delight in.
