+1. Gold Coast extends from Crestwood, last CV/Shepherd Park, to North Portal Estates until the MD boarder.

SBOE has minimal powers. They do things like approve curricula. The bully pulpit is greater, as is the potential for a broader role down the line as mayoral control gets eroded because of the Mayor's education imperiousness.

Annoying laws.

It did feel SO freaking wasteful - all the machinery, the ballots, the poll workers, the inconvenience for the polling places. Seems like they could have left the spot vacant for longer or had an interim person until the next regularly scheduled election.
