Lawyer and hairdressers run the scale, as do school teachers. Ridiculous question and can't believe it's causing this much debate. And kindergarten teachers? Why K? Why not 2nd grade or 4th? I had a crush on my 4th grade teacher. I had a crush on my 1st grade teacher too but she was a nun. The best is the people catching feelings on the answers of others. If nothing else, DCUM can entertain.

You’re “worried” about choices random women you don’t know will make? You sound like a condescending, controlling nutjob. Taking advice from you will mean ending up with someone like you. No bueno.

I asked DH this question, and he said, "all things being equal (looks, personality, etc..), the hairdresser because the lawyer will probably end up working a lot more and be stressed". He likes an easy, unhurried life (so do I). I'm neither of those professions. The money aspect is great, but it can't replace time spent with family. You can outsource all kinds of stuff, but if you are still working till 7pm, you can't split yourself into two people where one works and the other spends time with the family. Plus, more than likely, the lawyer will bring home the work, whether it's actual work or the stress from the day.

That was my DH's input.

Until you give me a more believable motive for your posts, I will assume you are single woman lawyer who is mad that men don't want to marry you

If you want a high powered profession, don't let it turn you into a bitch or a snob, don't belittle your husband or force him to give up his career, don't let it make you look too old too early and so on

Odds are, some of those things will happen if you are a big law lawyer, so that's why kindergarten teachers won the thread
