Bury some barbed wide with the spikes showing. They won't even notice until they get home.

We have no sidewalks but the county owns a border of land approximately the width of a car. We had problems with a house that was overstuffed with renters and their many cars. Called the county and they came out and promptly showed up at our next HOA meeting to tell us there was nothing we could do because it’s county owned land. It really upset my neighbor across the street because she has lovely grass right up to the road. I have a more gravel look going so it’s fine by me. Just because you have grass up to the road doesn’t mean you own that spot.

Okay, I can do this. How long do you think I need to leave them there? What if they just drive over them (it happened with flags I put out in the Spring when I seeded and put straw all over the area)?

Leave them up, they can't drive over them, they are about 3 ft tall. If they DO run them over, or park between then, PLEASE go out and tell them not to park on your grass. Some people are just plain stupid/oblivious/rude. They need someone to be direct.

If I came home and found a car parked in my yard, I'd winch the car up onto my flatbed trailer and then tow it somewhere in DC and leave it there.

PP here. Sorry about the "Don't know about you..." line. I got influenced by the snarkiness here, which is entirely my fault.

OP mentioned he has 200 feet of frontage to protect. Some of those solutions aren't easy to scale up to 200 feet.

...or solar lights...

Quick solution that is not super-ugly: Go to Sisler's in Falls Church and get some big rocks. They have lots of options.

Slower and more expensive, but nicer:

Look into some kind of ornamental grass or shrub that you can plant as a border. If your lawn is sunny, I personally would go for Russian sage. Check out garden centers ASAP to see what they have or recommend and when the best time is to plant.

Or a squash/pumpkin patch.

If your chosen plant isn't available now, you can still prepare the area with mulch, posts, and caution tape.

My parents live in a gated community where the yards do all the way up to the street and to discourage parking on the grass they have these little 4 x 4 posts (maybe ~7 inches high) with mitered tops every 10 feet or so. They look cheap and easy to make with a miter saw.
