I'm happier with the education received this year than DC world have received at the private. The two teachers are far and away better prepared, the curriculum is more exacting and s/he gets incredible attention due to smaller class size. TAG for language arts and Mark had meant a lot of advanced work for grade level. All in all, I am very happy with our decision
Ignoring the people who aren't adding anything productive to the conversation, what's TAG and Mark?
Mark=math
For all those making rude and ridiculous assumptions about my intentions or situation, you are all wrong. Not a realtor, no one has lost a job, not delusional. Just providing my opinion about the school in the hopes of showing that going there is not the end of the world, your child will learn, the teachers are excellent, and little larla/o is not going to come home with either a shiv or a vocabulary out of urban dictionary.
I would hazard to guess that those who make wild assumptions have absolutely no clue what they're talking about.

You sound like a realtor with a house for sale in J-H.

No - no more administrative transfers, which is as it should be.
Exactly. Let families understand that they will be paying for private or moving. Too much grey area before.
OMG - OR, radical idea - go to their local public elementary school! (GASP!)
Sure. Define local. Because right now the kids directly across the street from JH aren't even attending the school.

And yet I personally know several families that have received transfers this year.
Oo...any details you can provide as to how they go those transfers?
