On Room 222 in the 1970s, the 2 main high school students (Bernie & Jason) looked like they were 30 years old when the series started. Five years later they were still being bailed out of problems by the caring teachers. I’m not sure, but I think they are STILL IN high school.

Yes. Also, they were always driving between places like Falls Church, Silver Spring,Georgetown in no time at all. They never got stuck in traffic!


It was the 80s. There wasn't really much traffic.

Yup, common sitcom trope. Norm’s wife Vera on Cheers, the neighbor in Home Improvement, Howard’s mom in Big Bang Theory, I’m sure there are others.

Yup, same way the Walsh twins and the rest of the gang except David had two junior years in high school.

It was a different time - the kids weren’t particularly young. In the 80s, young kids spent a lot of hours by themselves.
