I don't disagree, but the only sport my child wants to play is soccer. I've made him try other sports, he doesn't particularly like them and doesn't want to do them. I have limited time in my life, and am not going to invest it taking him to practices for a sport where he doesn't want to be. So until DS feels differently, travel soccer is where we are going to put our time and energy.


I posted that above. I also posted the longer one above it. I just wanted to agree that kids need breaks, but I'm with you! Like I said, soccer is a different animal. If he likes it and wants to play....LET HIM! as much as he wants....all year round. Just remember to take a little time off maybe around the winter holiday and summer. Even if it's just a week. Good luck.

Frankly the issue here is how ridiculous travel soccer has become at such a young age.
