Eat out almost never, maybe $60 a month average
Family of five kids and three and a half adults ( one lives here half the time,). Keep kosher, kosher meat and cheese are expensive...
I buy some convenience foods like energy and breakfast bars to make packing school lunches for kids easier...

I had to do it when my kids were younger. Both kids go in the cart, go when someone can watch the kids or watch one kid, give your kids a phone to look at while you shop. Believe it or not, it is done millions of times by millions of people. Get the groceries, walk out with both kids, lock them in the car and bag your groceries at the car while they are in it.

I'm not belittling you for saying it isn't difficult but it is making an excuse and paying more for the "luxury" of having someone bag your groceries. It's a choice.

I started shopping at Aldi and although I'm not a fan I was surprised how much cheaper it is compared to other options we use (Safeway, Harris Teeter, etc). I'll still use the others for some things they carry that Aldi does not, but I hope shopping there and making more of our lunches at home to bring into work will help to rein in our spending.

What don’t you like about aldi?!

Limited selection, weird check-out process (no bagging, just throwing your stuff in a cart which you then have to sort at a separate counter), not a great area.

Yes, you have to bag your own groceries! Not for the lazy.
