No one is suggesting an exam to be rescheduled, but the player should factor the practices into her schedule when preparing for the exam. In high school & college, your kid will not get excused from practice to study for an exam.

That’s reasonable but the prior post certainly sounded like they were talking about the exam itself as the conflict.

The date given was 8/20. Capital, for instance, will not announce final cuts until 8/21/or 8/22 and wont announce which team you are on until September. I imagine that girls who make Capital Orange would seriously consider playing for Panthera instead but they wont know so will have to make an uninformed decision. In that situation, I have to think most girls would stick with Capital with the hope of being placed on blue.
I am sure this is on purpose in order to lock in players. It will be interesting to see if that works. My DD is on the fence about trying out for them, for this reason, as well as others. And despite what's been said, by the time Pride Red 2022 and incoming Visi freshmen who play lax are offered spots, it's hard to believe there will be many spots for others.
See? Panthera has a niche already...lots of girls still want to play basketball field hockey etc...nice to know there is a place that they can go where they won’t be punished. It’s not only healthier for your child to have other activities, it’s also what college coaches want. Not to mention the team will still play to win even if the star basketball center had to miss a practice...
