Nope, my wife is a stay at home mom for a few years now so I am basically the only source of income at the moment though she tries her best to make any money she possibly can. Sometimes it seems to me that her ways are rather obscure, she is trying to make money using cloud mining and that makes me go wild sometimes. Basically speaking she has a contract and some hashflare redeem codes like these for it but it drives me wild how easily she spends money for its maintance hoping for a giant profit.

I make about 50% more than DH. He turned down a promotion to continue to WAH. The salary increase from a promotion would be more than offset by having to do before/after care and the loss in flexibility. As it is, he gets the kids on the bus in the morning and is there when they get home. He's able to do basic household chores like laundry and dishes during breaks in the day, and he has an hour or so of "daddy time" with our toddler between when he picks her up and I get home.

We love the current flexibility and have no issues with the income difference.

I earn more (about 50% more than him if you count employer retirement matching). But he brought more inherited assets to the table.

I'm also married a man with a ton of student loan debt. I think it's fair to say "thanks but no thanks" to a relationship with a person with student loan debt if you don't want to be saddled with it in the future. But once you decide to marry that person? Yea, you can't hold it against them. Unless he lied to you about his debt and only sprung it on you after the wedding, you can't really complain about it now.

I make more than my husband and have our entire relationship (though never the big bucks people have listed here, our HHI is still well below $200k). He's catching up quickly, though, while my career has hit a plateau recently so I expect him to surpass me soon. The only "weird" dynamic we have is he does feel bad from time to time that he doesn't contribute more financially. No resentment on his end but I think he'd prefer to be the breadwinner. I don't care who makes more so long as we get the bills paid.

DW breadwinner here. I make significantly more, and I find it very frustrating because even though I work more and am the primary parent, he has twice the debt (premarriage student loans) and generally does not put forth effort to improve his salary.

Keep in mind your husband out earns the majority of men in this country, even those with a college degree. It's only in relation to your salary that that amount seems small. It's a byproduct of living here on the east coast, where you get salaries in the $400k+ range, which are truly in the 1%


Of course, I realize it. I thought the question was about "weird dynamics" within the marriage, and my answer is a resolute "no".
