No it's not. Come by that part of Glebe Road at 8:30am and you'll see traffic backed up past Chesterbrook Rd, waiting to either cross Chain Bridge to DC or get to the GW Parkway north to the Beltway.
Buses don't have to go that far up Glebe to get to Jamestown, they can get off at Albemarle right past the Williamsburg intersection. Or if that's issue, they can cut over to Williamsburg via Old Dominion. There are actually a lot of access points from higher capacity roadways up there, more than I realized until I looked at the map again just now. It's a great site to handle heavy bus traffic.

Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:True. But they are not in country club hills. Move Montessori out of Jamestown. They are then way under capacity. Turn it option. No increase in bus costs. Keeps kids near walkable schools. Done.
This seems like the best solution.

Could they post it Friday so everyone has the weekend to think about it? Would it be reasonable to get it 1-2 business days ahead of time? This would allow time to get matching shirts.

I am really impressed with whomever did this. Here's the list of schools, as the buses could drive that are closer to the bus stop than MCK: I was wrong...
1. ATS .4
2. Glebe .9
3. Barrett 1.2
4. Reed 1.3 miles.
5. Ashlawn 1.4
6. ASFES 1.5 miles
7. McK 1.7
The Mckinley boundaries are all out of whack because of the school of the size and the unfortunate boundary decision. Luckily, it should be resolved when Reed opens.

What about Long Branch?
