Great but it will be sometime next year before a jury will determine damages. I can hear Alex moving his assets from here. Nothing like an advanced warning.
That time has come.
I hope they bankrupt him and go after his offshore assets.

“The families of victims of the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting massacre on Tuesday rejected conspiracy theorist Alex Jones' offer to settle with each of them for $120,000, per AP.”

The fact that he believes that the suit is an "attack on the First Amendment" shows that he has no understanding of Constitutional rights.
The First Amendment says that the government shall not abridge your right to speech. The government will not make laws or prevent you from saying whatever you want (within certain limits, like public safety). However, the First Amendment in no way protects you from the consequences of saying something stupid or false. If you choose to defame someone with lies, then they have a right to sue you for damages. In this case, Jones slandered the families and made money off of it. They have a right to sue him out of his entire estate and, frankly, they deserve, his money more than he does after his abominable behavior.

The point is that the Jones' defense attorneys are just as bad as Jones. They are bullies who were trying to intimidate the Sandy Hook families, witnesses and even their lawyer in court.
I'm so glad that the judge has seen fit to punish the bullies for their inappropriate court behavior and actions. I hope that she decides to render a sanction herself against the lawyers rather than refer them to the board. They deserve to have the book thrown at them. It wasn't just one mistake or error, it was a series of bullying tactics designed to intimidate and taint the evidence against their client. Such actions should not be condoned in a court of law and attorneys who practice such behavior should not be allowed to practice.
