Wikipedia says 20% of couples are in sexless marriage, and you can be certain the vast majority (like 10X more) of those the woman is the refuser. Below are a couple quotes from the subject NYT article. For what purpose would a man say such things to a woman who he is already having extramarital sex with? These are not frivoulous sweet nothings that get a woman horny, if anything these should push her away.

agreed, we need a grassroots organization that’s created to address the lack of diverse, non-majority marriages along the east coast and Florida. We need husbands committed to the ideal that embracing diversity that will lead to acceptance, empathy, and ultimately equality. This effort served as a public call to action. Fill in the blank, people. Take a photo of him. Post it to Facebook. I’m sure your friends did. Wives and people of different races, religions, and sexual orientations are Different and Diverse, or “DD” for short.
