Of course it’s a competition. The highly paid woman in another thread is complaining about competing unsuccessfully with her friend the lowly paid nanny. Female friends complain about being ignored by men they’re interested in. They’re competing with hotter, friendlier, more available women for those men. Or they’re competing with lots of less-hot women for those few men.

If you make $200K, how many candidates are there, and how many other women also want to meet those guys? How many of those other women are prettier than you are?
This is a point. It is ok for a man to make more than a woman in relationships, but not the other way around. That means that the only way society works is if most women earn less than most men. For equality, it just should not matter.
I am male. I make 185K. I am ok with a woman that makes more than me (I would welcome it....more money is better than less money, but more time is better than less time, it is a tradeoff). I am ok if the woman make less than me. SAH is problematic because, at 185K, it is kind of hard to support a family.

+ finding a husband is a touch competition.
Few quality guys, lots of attractive girls who are vying for the same top 10%
I get called a liar every time i tell my story on here. This is my kids' weekend with their mother, so I am sad not to be with them for the holiday. But I took a 25yo for dinner on Friday and we had sex in my car after. A 38yo woman came over last night to have sex with me. I am meeting a 31yo for drinks at 5. I am sure we will have sex tonight.

How much do you bench press? I think that is the number that really matters.
