Why don’t you think about why this bothers you? You seem to feel they don’t “deserve” to wear it or that it’s somwhow false advertising. School gear is a gentle form of bragging; why can’t they brag about the best school they wentvto, if that’s what they want to do?

That's totally something a late bloomer with no depth would say. There are just too many kinds of grad and weekend and executive rackets all these prestige colleges offer. Someone's undergrad and prep school tell you far more about the person's character, polish and mental fitness.
