DP, in no universe is the mistress worse than the husband, you know the guy who actually knows you, is supposed to love you, made a vow to you, and is breaking it.

i disagree with you. the husband is in a marriage, he is vulnerable and stupid. she could have anyone and she slept with a married man. it is hard to not wander, don't pick a married man.

They are equally guilty. People who grow up with morals and values wouldn't ever think about dating someone that is married. A lot of messed up people from dysfunctional families. The posters on here who brag about it are very disturbed individuals.

OP, let me tell you a story.

I have a relative who cheated on his wife and family and ultimately impregnated the OW.

He lied big time in the divorce settlement (self employed) and screwed over Wife #1. Ended up rich, living in a fancy house in a fancy neighborhood and making babies with wife # 2.

Wife # 1 met a nice man, moved to a sweet little house, and has been happy with him for many decades. She always took the high road. She has a happy life and she deserves it. Won't ever be wealthy but she has love, peace, and contentment.

I don't want to out myself on this board, but I will say, karma definitely caught up with the man and his wife #2. Money does not buy happiness. Wife # 2 thought she wanted that man more than anything in the world. Be careful what you wish for, you might get it.

My relative was pretty happy when the OW ended up dying. Her husband left her for this woman and it tore the family apart among other things.

Are you saying the OW in your relative’s situation deserved to die? She didn’t break vows to anyone. That’s really screwed up to be happy someone who frankly has no responsibility to you (and you to them!) dies.

It's more screwed up to think a OW shares zero responsibility in helping to break up a family. The horrible impact to the children is just as much the OW's fault.

This times a million. My husband's mistress walked right by my babies' toys and sippy cups and had sex with him in my bed. But oh no, she didn't nothing to hurt her. I would just feel so bad if bad things befell her.

Honestly I wouldn't care what befell either of them. Both would be out of my life no matter what I had to do.
