I would not imagine going this ballistic about anything but danger to my family.

I hesitate to even post this because I'm troubled by what you've already shared, OP, but how is it that after a few years this is still the top hit for your name? Do you have no other internet presence, because if not, that seems like an obvious first step.

My name is also very distinctive (google search turns up literally no one else with my name), and a couple of years ago my name was included in a local news/gossip blog post, nothing embarrassing but I was irritated that the thing was considered "news" at all and put out on a blog. You can still find it if you keep reading down my search results, but it's buried below all of my social media pages (FB, linkedin, twitter), a couple of those background/public record sites, and some 5Ks I've run, even though the blog post got lots of views at the time. The blog post you mentioned aside, as a propsective employer I would consider it a red flag if someone your age had absolutely no internet presence because it seems like you may be trying to hide something.

Create websites with your name on it. Link them to other sites so that they get priority during a search. There are companies that do this for you. You can start with a public twitter account.

I know the mom blasted her all over social media. This mom posted in every mommy group FB page and every list serv for the surrounding areas. Never made her own website that I know of, though.

This person has a unique name, so if you Google her, the on-blast posts come up first. This person eventually got herself together and work in a corporate environment now but b*tches from time to time that the negative old stuff holds her back in getting better jobs and dating.

Are you ever coming back OP. There are a ton of questions here. And the fact you aren't even coming back says a lot of about you. It's hard to sympathsize and help if you can't even post back.

The guess is you were a nanny who totally broke everyone's trust and really sucked big time. The mom made sure no other family goes through what you put them through by posting about you - on a stand alone website OR did the mom just vent about you on, for example, her blog or on her moms' group message board, or something like Nextdoor or FB?

How long ago were the issues and firing?

If it wast 6 months ago, that's one thing...but, if it was 6 years (or 10 years) then that is a whole different set of conditions.

That story is crazy. I can't even get over her dirtiness - even if she were the best chef/nanny in the world. I'm not the neatest, but do people really live like that?

I am not sure it’s that easy to find. Sorry about the situation you are in OP. I hope you have truly changed. I hope you have apologized to this person sincerely. I am not sure that would do any good as far as the blog post goes but I think she deserves it.
