Yes, we read you quite clearly. "Affirmative action baby." Bet you spent half your paltry supply of neurons thinking that one up. Gee, what is it about him that makes you think he rose simply because of others handing him undeserved positions and honors rather than through his particular abilities and motivation? Perhaps his skin color? Wow. So original. I'm sure you're happy to belong to the coterie of other slobby thinkers who can't get past the ancestry of any successful AA.
No, I've seen what affirmative action does to promising kids -- first it makes them lazy, and then it makes them narcissistic. These kids get an easy pass simply for offering a "perspective."
So how did the rich white kid end up such a narcissist?
DP.. white privilege.
I really find it funny that white people slam affirmative action then turn around and demand holistic approaches to college entrances because who wants a college full of one dimensional Asian American students who score higher than a white person. Scores don't mean much when it comes to comparing their White kids to Asian American kids, but it means everything when compared to Black/Hispanic kids.
Actually, I want my doctor to be a one dimensional Asian American student rather than an Affirmative Action student.

Narcissists don't serve anyone but themselves, ever. Period.
No way I will ever believe that Obama was a narcissist in the way that Trump is a narcissist. Obama may have had a healthy self esteem, but he could think in terms of other people's perspectives (outside of his own experience). Trump will never have that ability. It is really a missing piece of his personality. Scary.
And Obama had the guts to take questions from the press.

I'd take Teddy Roosevelt's rough riding machismo or Andrew Jackson's schoolyard bully treatment of indigenous people any day over Donald's ridiculously egotistical attitude. The man is a spoiled prick and when you add to that his clumsy train of thought, childish tantrums, and constant need for attention/adulation there's no comparing this guy to any previous Presidents - they were at the very least adults. If anyone's a baby its Donald.
Great assessment of Trump. Now what do you think about Obama, the subject of this thread?
Lol I see you can't put 1 +1 together. A true Trump follower huh?
Peep this slow brains...Teddy Roosevelt was narcissistic and self-absorbed, Andrew Jackson was narcissistic and self-absorbed, John F. Kennedy was narcissistic and self-absorbed, and yes...Barack Obama was narcissistic and self-absorbed. Not exactly an uncommon character trait for leaders of the free world. But as I intimated, I'd take em all over the present prick in office. They were all adults at the very least.

David Cameron’s former director of strategy has said Cameron thought Barack Obama was one of the “most narcissistic, self-absorbed people” he had ever encountered, despite the pair’s once notorious “bromance”.
Steve Hilton, one of Cameron’s closest advisers before the pair fell out over immigration and Brexit last year, made the comments during the latest instalment of his show, The Next Revolution, on Fox News.
He went on to emphasise the shortcomings of Trump’s predecessors, adding: “My old boss, former British prime minister David Cameron, thought Obama was one of the most narcissistic, self-absorbed people he’d ever dealt with.
“Obama never listened to anyone, always thought he was smarter than every expert in the room, and treated every meeting as an opportunity to lecture everyone else. This led to real-world disasters, like Syria and the rise of Isis.”

Cameron is 100% correct about Obama.
Who cares what Cameron thinks? He is, according to the economist Martin Wolf, "arguably the worst prime minister in UK history" who "has brought the country to a crisis".

Anonymous wrote:As someone who made hiring decisions based on affirmative action - some applicants would have made it anyway and others were hired because we were looking to have more diversity - what I can say categorically is that one of the downsides of AA is that it casts a shadow on the minorities who are hired irrespective of whether they actually received preference.
The end result is that they all end up being painted with this broad brush of being given preferential treatment whether that is true or not.
Did the Obamas get into the prestigious schools they attended because of their race? We really have no idea one way or the other.
I can tell you that my grandson who is bi-racial would not have got into the school he is attending if he had been white. I fully supported his decision to use his minority status to give him an edge but why should anyone be surprised if down the line he is viewed as someone who got in because of his race? The unfortunate thing is that even if he had received admission purely on merit, he'd still be viewed by some as being a product of affirmative action.
