Her face is fine and I couldn't even tell which side of her face the accident happened on.
She was super emotional though. When she came right back out for the win with Keith Urban, she could barely speak.
Yes, she has definitely been through something for sure. I'm just glad that her injuries healed so well. Really, if she hadn't said something I would not have known anything had happened to her.
She must have had a really excellent team of doctors.

Anonymous wrote:Does anyone else think WAAAAY more is being made of this than normal? Her face looks exactly the same. It's getting ridiculous, the amount of media attention this has gotten.

It looks like she’s angling her face carefully for the camera; no telling what further injury might be out of view, closer to her ear.
I noticed this, too. In addition, her left eye looks bruised compared to her right eye. But also - you guys have no idea how that photo was edited (and it was SURELY edited). I edit pictures of myself all the time before posting on the internet -- ever heard of Facetune or Perfect365? There are tons of other apps just like it. Hell, just last week I used touch-retouch to edit my entire arm out of a photo where I was holding my baby upright next to a fountain.
wut? It never occurred to me to edit my photos or kids photos. Srsly? Live and learn, I never knew that was an option. I am seriously underutilizing my technologies.

I had to compose myself in public reading that. Hilarious.

"On Friday night, Carrie Underwood took a hard fall on some steps outside her home," her rep said in a statement. "While there were no life-threatening injuries, she was taken to the hospital to be treated. She sustained multiple injuries including a broken wrist and some cuts and abrasions from the fall."
