You do not know that. Studies show that the penis loses sensitivity because so many nerves are cut. Are you circumcised?
What? We did not circ and our sons have had no issues because they weren't circed. One reason we didn't circ was because the foreskin is supposed to be very sensitive and retaining it is supposed to heighten sexual pleasure.

Yes, all the nurses in the hospital where I delivered were truly horrible to me about it. They had no problem telling me all about their opinions on the topic. Excessively opinionated and anti semitic. Every last one of them. They also lied about how much pain my baby was in, even though the doctor used a local anesthetic for the procedure. You're clearly one of them.
Funny you say that. My kids were born in NYC and I was given all kinds of grief from the hospital staff, especially the Jewish doctor, about not circumcising my boys both times that I delivered. They must have been anti-non semitic.

(As a side note, these studies only apply to male/female vaginal intercourse.)

These studies also were done in a place where condoms are culturally discouraged.
NP: so? Do you think everyone always practices safe sex? I’m with the first PP.
No, but they practice it WAY more in developed countries than where the study was done. That wildly affects the % benefit.
Your son will never have sex if you follow him around on every date. with a pack of condoms.

Opposite experience for me.
They could have taken care of that issue if they really wished that were true. Obviously it wasn't something they felt strongly about.
That's what I don't get about the pro-circ people. If you are so certain circumcision is the best path, why aren't you confident enough in your stance to let your son decide on his own as an adult? Why not put him in charge of his own body? Are you worried because adult voluntary circumcisions are almost non-existent? And don't talk about how much worse it is; after all, you're totally okay doing this to your infant. Surely an adult male can handle what a baby often suffers without anesthesia.
The procedure is substantially more serious for an adult than it is for an infant and you know it. Adults and older children require stitches and a much longer recovery period. Infants do not require stitches and they heal much faster. It was healed in a week for my boys.
Boo hoo, stitches!!! Pity the poor penis! Women are popping kids out of their vaginas, getting c-sections, and are stitched up regularly. If an intact man cared enough, they’d do it.
