Lesson for the day: if you are a R, hold out for entitlement, and they can buy your vote.
You mean they learned from the Democrats, whose campaign strategy for the past 50 years has been "vote for us, and we'll give you lots of free stuff"? Remember how that woman stood up in a Town Hall and said she understood that Obama would pay off her mortgage?
I once asked a friend from a poor family whom her parents voted for while she was growing up.. She said they voted for whoever would give her family the most money, and that was always the Democrats.
Oh, well, your made up anecdote proves your beliefs, doesn't it?!

I’m confused. So you do not like the Democrats, yet you’re glad the Republicans are doing the very thing you accuse Dems of? I think in the end the Rs will win the battle of “who can drive up the deficit the most.” How ya gonna pin THAT on Obama?
Oh wait! That’s right, trickle down economics will solve everything. Gullible fools.
No need to pin it on Obama: he already won that prize. He doubled the national debt from $10 trillion to $20 trillion in a span of eight years!
Because he had to fix the mess that W left. How hard is that to understand? And you know what? We have had 8 years of growth, which is better than recession or depression. And now the GOP is taking that economic progress and flushing it down to Blue Plains.

Oh and Corker's reversal signals that Susan Collins got NOTHING. I hope she gets voted out.

Rubio wants an additional entitlement. Money back that never went into the treasury. Increase in refundable child tax credit. Rubio had also been lobbying for refundable FICA.
Both are just ridiculous. http://www.cnn.com/2017/12/14/politics/marco-rubio-tax-vote/index.html
How much more free stuff is he looking for? Florida has no income tax BUT it is now supporting many from Puerto Rico.
So who cares about free stuff? The tax bill essentially borrows a trillion(or 2) and gives it to corporations. Yes we are borrowing money to give it to corporations. So shut your f’ing mouth and empty another bucket into the pig trough. One more bucket will not make any difference in the ocean of give aways that is this bill.
No need or the bad language. Do you pay taxes? I pay a lot. The discussion is about another entitlement . Corporate taxes can be raised and so can the highest brackets if the tax plan passes. As for CHIP the repubs came up with a funding plan-retirees with income over 500k and lottery winnings count among other things. Dems object. I'm a Dem and wonder why lottery was never included.
“Free stuff” is bad language? Where did you grow up?
I thought lottery winnings were taxed? Or is that just state taxes?
You think they are going to raise the corporate rate? Lol!
I bolded free stuff because that is an entitlement. If this tax plan does not generate the intended results YES I do think they would raise corporate and the high bracket rates. Or add another bracket. Lottery winnings are taxed BUT some programs exclude lottery winnings from income to determine eligibility. You could inherent [or win] millions in one month-get bumped- then reenroll. Yes this really happens-on a state by state basis some like NY attempt to get back welfare and Medicaid and food stamp money.
http://www.washingtonexaminer.com/medicaid-bill-would-boot-lottery-winners-from-the-program/article/2642887 Also you can get EITC if you qualify and can have 3500 of dividend income. http://www.governing.com/topics/health-human-services/tns-maine-food-stamps-lottery.html In Maine "individuals who were receiving food stamps, Temporary Assistance for Needy Families benefits or MaineCare at the time they won. The winners received more than $22 million in prizes while on welfare programs, according to the department."
