A friend’s DC got into Northeastern ED. Mine applied EA with a better SAT score,should we be worry? Should my DC change to EDll or wait it out?

God son admitted Tulane ED. Great kid. Not an academic, so this was his stretch. So happy and proud it worked out!

None of the Ivies or big selective state schools have released yet.

Not the PP, but remember you are talking about 17 year olds here. As parents we can tell them they have a snowball's chance in hell, but they are able to convince themselves they may well be the lucky ones. Especially if they've killed themselves in school and have a perfect record and great ECs. For a lot of them it's their first major rejection, and it takes a while to come to terms with it.
