I'm 38. I would not have wanted to do this as a 24 year old. I think waiting until late 30s is not only relatively normal here in DC, but sensible.

I get that there are lots of women in DC who have their first after 35 - that's normal here and that's cool and that's a valid choice.
But PP is allowed to say that 34 is too old FOR HER, which is a fair way to state it and is what she said. This is a perfectly normal mindset in much more of the US than what is typical in higher income demographics in DC. So save the eye roll - it's her opinion, and it's not a weird one.
