How much should one pay to have a timing belt replaced on a 2011 pilot

That’s a lot of miles for a 2017, but I think the price you listed seems about right. I paid $30K for a 2017 Pilot with 20k miles on it last year.

2008 Pilot with almost 240,000. Debating whether to get another car, but based on this thread, think I will hold onto it for a while longer.

2020 cars are built a lot worse than 2007 vehicles. Lots of Chinese garbage parts.

It has been meticulously maintained and I calculated the out of pocket repairs with 3k mile oil changes at $1,800 per year over the last 10 years. I look forward to the third timing belt change at 330k and reaching 400k! I will swallow hard if the transmission needs to be replaced but otherwise happy to keep paying the annual $1800 to drive a nice classic.

You could likely be driving a new Pilot for that much annual cost. This is just insanity.

We sold our 2007 Pilot to out daughter and son-in-law. It's his daily driver and has 190,000 miles on it. Our 2013 Pilot already has 142,000 miles on it and is still going strong. Good vehicles!
