Complain to lifeguard and resident manager. The lifeguard should have stopped this behavior the first time it happened.

Yeah, fair point. Although what really bothered me is that the mom of the screamer was yakking on the phone for an hour while her child shrieked and annoyed everyone else.

At my former apartment, running on the pad, splashing, loud noise/screaming would get you booted from the pool. Some of it is a safety hazard. Sometimes though people call anything not to their liking screaming, so it is hard to say whether this is the case with OP.

Kids + Pools = screaming. If you knew your building had a pool when you turned in the application, then you have nobody to blame but yourself for your irritation.
Also: weren't you ever a kid? Sheesh.
Sadly, most DCUM posters were born middle-aged.

Please. The adults are too.

Condos aren't exempt from federal laws preventing discrimination against families with children. My coworker is the sole single man in a condo that was all singles and DINKs. Then everyone had babies. There are strollers and trikes lining the halls. He is the only one with a problem with it. Can't sell fast enough.

I assume OP is a single person, and it makes sense for them to live in an apartment. maybe the screamers should move to a SFH?

Anonymous wrote:I have two children, OP, and cannot stand the screamers. Parents who let their kids do it are inconsiderate and self-centered, raising kids who will be the same. Children can have plenty of fun without shrieking to the point it disturbs others around them. Unfortunately, I don't think there's much you can do besides shoot the evil eye to the kids.
