She is much, much more than "the messenger." White House Press Secretary is a public official who works for the people and the position requires responsible stewardship of the system of trust on which we rely, flawed though it is. She's not a political flack. A WH press secretary willing to lie or allow herself to be misled because she's "just the messenger" can do a lot of damage to our fragile system.
