This has to be a troll, right? All the germs picked up in daycare? The pollen? Just ew. It doesn't have to be a big production with bubbles and toys, just a quick wash.

How often do you change their sheets?

The people calling infrequent bathing "abuse" and threatening CPS lead seriously precious lives.

Little girls get vaginal rashes or infections from not wiping properly. It's psinful. My girls bathe or shower at least every other day.

This is not at all what happened with my kids. They also only took one or two baths a week up until puberty. Once they hit middle school they went from showering once or twice a week to showering once or twice a day, without me reminding them. It just happens -- by the end of middle school they wanted to look and feel good. (This also extended to their wardrobes which went from 100% athletic wear to real clothes.)

It really is okay to let younger kids not shower every day and it is probably better for them. It doesn't mean that they won't have good hygiene as young adults.

How many of these people who proudly proclaim they don't bathe their kids for multiple days have the same hygiene routine?
Are you skipping baths or showers for three or four days or more and still going out to argue cases, teach kids, lobby on the Hill or whatever?
If a grownup who doesn't play in sandboxes, mud puddles or likely get nearly as sweaty as a little kid at play can take the time to shower or bathe daily then you can take the time to do the same for your kid.

Yuck. Seriously, it takes 10 minutes.

if your bath takes 10 minutes no wonder you do it every day.

If your kid took one at least a few times a week, instead of every ten days, it would only take 10 minutes because he wouldn't be so filthy.

I don't count 10 min showers as baths sorry.

Depends on what you do during those 10 mins. Soaping that washcloth up and fully lathering up every inch of a kid and rinsing em off can certainly be handled in 10 mins. And it can certainly be done daily.
Personally, I prefer daily baths for my kids (and so do they). But a thorough daily shower would work as well with a bath once a week.

So much of this depends on skin and hair type and daily activities. We don't have a set routine. I make a judgment every day as to whether she needs to get in the tub.

They've got to be so itchy. 1-2 days, whatever. 10? I can smell their scalps from here.

If your kid bathes daily your house and carpets will be less dusty, oily and dirty too. Just put them in the shower for 10 minutes and quick shampoo, body wash and done.

I do my kids every night bc of pollen allergies. I wouldn't if I didn't have to!
