I WANT to vote for him. I like him. If he was a Democrat I'd even be a campaign volunteer for him. IF he was a Dem.
But I can't vote for a republican, no matter how good they are.
Seriously??? You're apart of the problem. Always caring about Rs and Ds, never the bigger picture (or in this case, the candidate). Grow up.

No he hasn't stood up for Trump, nor did he endorse him. And yes, he is a Republican. At some point the voters in this state have to stop identifying with a party and do what's right for our families and our communities. I have people in my country complaining about the development, about overcrowded schools, about illegals in our schools disrupting the learning process, etc. You voted for this stuff because you voted party instead of person. Consider what the individual stands for, not the party.

Larry Hogan's grace, courage and good humor in working through his cancer treatment persuaded me to vote for him next time. And there are a number of issues on which I disagree with him.

Really glad some Dems I can vote for are starting to get into the race!
I'm a MD Dem but the healthcare fiasco in MD was created by Brown. . . I hate that Hogan won't stand up to his party and focus on moderate Republican issues that most Marylanders care about, i.e. immigration and climate change.

As a teacher, can you explain how one additional week of summer vacation is "terrible" for children?
I'm pretty sure my child's math and english knowledge doesn't have an expiration date, where an 8 week summer vacation is just fine, but a 9 week summer vacation means he's suddenly forgotten everything from the previous year. My child still gets the same number of school days so he should get the same education during the school year, correct?
The teacher here. Summer vacation accounts for a two- three month drop in reading and math skills (very well documented). Summer slump accounts for almost all of the achievement gap. Not that one week really matters, but a governor who cares about education would push to shorten the summer vacation and spread out vacations similar to other countries, not elongate the summer.

Hogan is scary. Just a puppet for Donnie.
