I'm a male attorney. Have dated many female attorneys. I'm not sure if I could make a blanket generalization about them. Who are these guys who are uncomfortable with women who out earn them? That's craziness.

I also don't buy into the "power couple" thing. That's a very small subset of ultra high achievers. Maybe 10% of attorneys.

I dated a few female attorneys. They were smart, ambitious and sexually very aggressive. But I didn't marry one.

I don't have a multi-million dollar house, but I agree with this. Fine in theory, not in practice.

I also agree that while career success may be a sought-after attribute by some women, it is not for men and has more potential to be a drawback/negative for various reasons (availability, out-earning, etc.)

because that's been my experience. I've dated a few DOJ attorney women (in CRT - various sections...all joined via doj honors program, no ex biglaw)

I have gone out with more biglaw bitches because of the sheer numbers but the doj ladies were WAY better to date and pursue. More attractive, more grounded, they worked at doj because of the mission and hence were just happier. the big law bitches are boring and grumpy.

you cannot compare the dating attractiveness of DOJ ladies to BLB's.

I know a female attorney who would tell men she was a yoga instructor. It worked in the short term since she had more men interested in her, but eventually she realized that blurring the truth about her profession was shooting herself in the foot in the long term.

Well there are definitely different themes at play here on this thread.
Lack of time of the woman to date
Undesirable women due to tenor/demeanor of the woman herself
Undesirable due to pre-judices against female attorneys
Woman who spurn appropriate suitors because suitor is a member of the wrong caste.

Sums it up, no?

My only unmarried friend is 40 and single. I never even thought it could be her job that's the issue. She is fun and smart and cute.
