DP. I've read the thread and some media. The outrage is nonsense. The Rice outrage is nonsense, the "Obama was surveiling Trump" nonsense is nonsense.

Surveiling Trump's people was not nonsense, though. It doesn't seem to have found any smoking guns, but I don't think that usually happens in real life.

There's more than one "masked" Trump person and they are unmasking themselves. Take Carter Page, for example, "Male-1" - he admitted that he is in fact Male-1 and in the transcript is being lured and played with promise of Gazprom money by Russian SVR agents working out of the UN under diplomatic cover:

Interesting point: Rice may have requested unmasking to determine what natsec issues she could discuss, and to whom; When Rice allegedly made requests, she didn't know who she was trying to unmask. Doesn't that rule out political motivation?

Like unmasking is some super secret process, so secret that the President's top NatSec adviser wouldn't know about the info and how to unmask it. FFS, that's her JOB.

This whole crazy ass story means there is definitely fire behind the smoke. Trump and team are trying to slow role information that they know they will not ultimately be able to protect (because it's linked to criminal acts), so they are slow-rolling it in order to plant a different narrative about it when the truth final comes out 6 months from now. By that time, so much of the American public will have heard and believed that black is white and up is down, that the Trump Administration will survive.

It's inconceivable that the Trump people don't know what's in these intercepts. ot's also inconceivable that what was incidentally collected is innocent or innocuous, otherwise the PResident would just order the release of transcripts.
