right. If it's something women do all the time it's an "anger control issue". If men do it it's domestic violence.

If someone throws something AT YOU, then that is assault. If someone throws something of yours that belongs to you and breaks it, that is destruction of property.
And really, you do not need the police to tell you if you have been subjected to "domestic violence." Even if it's not a crime, it can be intolerable relationship behavior that fully justifies leaving.
