That intelligence didn't just pop up out of the blue, it had been in collection for months. It's not news right now to Trump or anyone else that his communications had been under surveillance going back to at least summer of 2016.
My theory is that he's been playing beat the clock ever since that January meeting, doing everything he can to get ahead of the facts that will certainly come out by
1) discrediting the intelligence and anyone else who knows what's in it (e.g., Obama)
2) discrediting the media so no one will believe them when they report said facts,
3) shore up his public support with a barrage of controversial actions that piss off the left.
This last tactic is the one over which he has the most control and the most confidence. The more outraged the left becomes, the more his supporters dig in and fight back. It's a witch hunt! You're mad because you lost! You're not letting him do his job! You're being disrespectful!
This latest volley is the most desperate of all. If he were innocent, it really wouldn't be so difficult.
This exactly.

Nope. Go listen to full exchange with Franken starting with CNN report.
Sessions is an honest man. You don't have to like him, but he is honest.
You believe he is being honest when he says he "can't remember" what he talked about with the ambassador just six months ago? Please. if that's the case he needs a full neurological workup.

Seriously, though, I bet he "found out" from infowars or something. Good luck with this one, Spicey!
Seriously! It didn't take much time for him to fall off the wagon and go on a very unpresidential Twitter rant, now did it? Makes me even more convinced he was on a sedative or some other meds for the speech.

Well this is the other very serious question, isn't it? Either it is wholly fabricated, in which case Trump's tweets are ... troubling, especially since he has access to just about any and every bit of real information in the world at his disposal.
Or, if it did happen: 1) it means in authorizing a tap, a judge made a finding of probable cause that we all should be very worried about, and 2) it would have been classified information, which Trump has either just illegally disclosed, or illegally confirmed based on someone else's illegal disclosure.
There seems to be no good light to view the current President's conduct in this matter. The situation is far worse for Trump if it turns out to be true.

Maybe he's reading DCUM.
Seriously though, that Twitter rant was Crazytown. I wonder if he's trying to pretend he's too insane/stupid to be a traitor. I can't believe they allow him to keep his phone.
He must have such low self esteem to feel the need to tweet this:
7m
Donald J. Trump? @realDonaldTrump
Arnold Schwarzenegger isn't voluntarily leaving the Apprentice, he was fired by his bad (pathetic) ratings, not by me. Sad end to great show

But, this didn't start with "some fringe radio show" but rather with Louise Mensch. She has become very popular with some of the left. Her (imho crackpot) theories have infected both sides of the political spectrum.
