But I doubt you are from DC if you have to ask who Carol Schwartz is, or if you intended to spell center, centre.
What a sleuth you are. I was born at Washington Hospital Centre/er. DC enough for you? The DCUM game of sniffing out who is/isn't from DC is weirdly tribal and high school. I'm kind of over it. As far as I'm concerned if you live in DC and show an interest that's good enough for me. The fact that I'm actually from DC doesn't give me some pecking order rights. The fact that you want to 'out' me is for voicing support for a Republican candidate. That you find unfathomable. There are more of us than you think who are from DC and find the efforts to turn our city in San Francisco annoying and ignoring the city's daily bread and butter needs. Hence Jack Evans. We need more centre/center politicians in our city.
I don't know why you are spelling center the other way, unless you are getting it confused with the old Capital Centre. But there isn't anything about the GOP right now that would be appealing to most US citizens, much less DC residents and voters. We do need politicians who understand our budget and won't continue to keep going left - at the moment that is Phil Mendelson (as compared to Ed Lazere) and Anita Bonds (as compared to her further left challengers) - but Vince Gray, Jack Evans and Phil Mendelson, who are all getting up there in age, are the only ones I trust with our budget. We need new, younger politicians who represent the responsibility of what a surplus means, and maintaining our rainy day fund etc.
