Me, either. Bethany doesn't have bars, really, so it keeps the most obnoxious behavior away. You can go to Rehoboth, Dewey, or OC for that. Otherwise, it's very family oriented. Quaint little shops, nice people, easygoing lifestyle. Perhaps Lewes is similar?


My ILs have moved from Bethany as their kids (inc my DH) visited them once a year, at most. I think they expected lots of visitors, but traffic was bad in the summer and winter was depressing. They’ve now moved to a city where there’s loads to do year-round and we’re looking forward to visiting.


Interesting my ILs hated how many visitors they got in the Spring/Summer/Fall.

The winters were amazing because it's quiet and all the restaurants have major specials. There are tons of groups to join and many volunteer opportunities.

I don't know much about Lewes, but I'm retiring to Bethany.


I'm doing northern OC close to Lewes.
