Surprised to see so many common picks here.

This is a tough one because I have to sacrifice several dear favorites, but...

Bhagavad Gita

+1

Though I'd pick the Mahabharata and still have the Bhagavad Gita within.

PPs should form a book club. We all seem to love the same stuff.

I have several books I have ready many times over and enjoy them as much the 2nd and 3rd time. They are:

Middlesex
Poisonwood Bible
A Tree Grows in Brooklyn
Unbroken: A World War II Story of Survival, Resilience, and Redemption

The last one is by Laura Hillenbrand and is flat out amazing. Couldn't bear to go see the movie version because I didn't want to ruin it.

Geez how am I going to get through all these books!?

They all sound amazing. I had a hard time deciding which ones to purchase first.

One of the PP's asked if I had read Phantom Tollbooth yet. I have not but will probably end up reading at the same time DS does.

The books I ordered are due to arrive today
