I don't think that is a 1950s mindset at all.
But, again, I expect the men in my life to have more sense than that. Apparently, the men on this show lack the ability to reason with anything other than a penis.

It is, given the numbers of women who hate, loathe and despise Allison and go insane whenever Cole shows interest in her

Anonymous wrote:Well, it just proves that men are stupid and led around by their penis. Because Cole has a good thing going in his life right now and should have the sense not to go that far with his ex. It's sheer stupidity.

Yes, Louisa is being bitchy, but damn, I get it. She has this kid bombshell dropped on her after they get married. They had the diner entanglement already. They try co parenting. Then Allison loses it and bails. I do think they thought they were doing what was best for Joanie. And since she cannot have kids of her own...
Anyway, I just don't get why Cole would go there at this point.

Cole and Allison both have blue eyes so it's impossible that their kid would have brown eyes. I can't imagine this was an oversight.
Did they ever officially confirm that Cole was te father? Or just that it wasn't Noah? One of Cole's brothers has brown eyes. Not the one that died.
On a bitchy note, I think Allison's duck mouth makes her look like Lisa (or Bart) Simpson.
Totally disagree that Allison looks like Bart Simpson, I think she's so beautiful, it's kind of distracting.
But I'm glad I'm not the only one who was totally distracted by Cole and Allison having a child that is of much darker coloring, (I didn't even notice the eyes, mainly the hair and skin too)
I get that there aren't that many child actors around, but you would think they could find one that vaguely resembled the parents she's supposed to be related to. I would expect two extremely pale people with light eyes and light brown hair to have a kid with the same- or even blondish hair that gets darker over time, as happens to nearly everyone. Instead they found a kid with mahogany hair and I don't know why it's so distracting to me... but glad to hear I'm not the only one who noticed.
I'm the person you quotes, thank you for that link. It's not true. http://genetics.thetech.org/how-blue-eyed-parents-can-have-brown-eyed-children
