I wish someone would have leaked Hillary's 33,000 emails! Instead, we have the opposite - all her cronies getting immunity deals and then taking the 5th. I imagine she will reward them for their loyalty in getting her into the White House and staying out of the Big House.

Who in their right mind would forgo legitimate deductions to pay more in taxes than they should? Trump can be faulted for many other things but minimizing his taxes using legitimate methods is not one of them.

The close to a billion loss in one year during the booming economy is more concerning. His argument is that he is a great business man.

If that is the case, then why not come right out and say, in the first 100 days, I am going to propose a reform in our tax laws, and cite specifics?

He has no specifics in any of his speeches.

I cannot give him the benefit of the doubt in it, because he has never said it, and doing it now would be condescending.

Easy ... what he did is legal. He has already said that he pays as little in taxes as possible and that is what anyone with an ounce of commonsense would do. He will also say the more people pay in taxes, the more the government will spend and waste.

They will say he knows all the loopholes that people use and is the best person to fix it. Now whether it is true that he he can fix it or not is neither here nor there. But they will spin it that he is more likely to fix it than Hillary because she is so beholden to special interests.

Somebody who realizes that society will collapse if each of us only thinks about ourselves and never society as a whole. Also anbody with any moral sense.

Then change the tax laws to make sure that everyone pays their fair share. What is the level that people should pay to show they have a "moral sense"?

The reality is that you know as well as I do, that whether Hillary is elected or Trump is elected, they will not be able to make meaningful changes in the tax laws. There are vested interests that will work against any changes.

I do agree that neither Hilary nor Trump will change that. I wish Bernie had won. But given that we have to choose, I'll choose the lesser of two evils, which is Hilary. With Hilary, four years from now we'll still have a nation that is not engaged in WWIII. Then we can look for somebody else like Bernie, and work harder to make sure the DNC and other powers do not stop him/her. But, for now, all we can hope for is a continuation of our current not-great policies, as opposed to having a mercurial "leader" who does not even know when to say "I'm so sorry,it was a stupid thing to say, I'll immediately donate a large sum of money to help research on obesity" to stop the media frenzy and try to get them back to substantial issues.

Indeed. This is the exact point. If the tax law allows you not to pay any taxes 1) you should vote for people who will change that law and 2) you should give at least 30% of your "income" (defined in the common sense way, not the legal way) to charity if you care for our country.

Amazon was basically investing so much more than their operational profits and hence was running a loss. Amazon kept building their logistical centers, adding distribution centers and investing heavily on software. Do you know how many small business, mom and pop shops Jeff Bezos destroyed? He can afford to take many years of big losses because of Wall Street money. Mom and pop shops don't have that luxury. I am sure Jeff Bezos carries big losses in his tax return.

Do you know how many mom/pop shops Trump shafted on paying them? One payment could be the difference between make and break.
