OP, I see you still have not added a yelp review. If your story is true, you need to get this out there so others avoid the practice. That kind of treatment is ridiculous!

Fox Chapel Animal Hospital in Germantown.
Dr. Sol Perl of Housecalls for Pets does home visits and is a great get. His fees are not outageous and we have found him to be a compassionate and practical get.
'Vet' not 'get'.

That's outrageous. Enjoy your time with your dog and find a new vet! And please add a bad review on yelp so we can all steer clear of this practice.

At the end of this story, on a legal level, a dog is property. Not a family member. No cause of action.
