Those of you who say no to, for example, sleepovers with teenage brothers - how do you do this? Just say no to this family and yes to others? Just say no to all sleepovers? Doesn't it get awkward, especially if kids are best friends? (NOT saying you should do something you're not comfortable with to avoid awkwardness, but I'd like some tips on how to deal.)

The reality is these men worked very hard to have/get a child and more than likely of all dads out there, they probably are not of concern. I would be more concerned if I did not know them well, regardless of sexual identity or gender. I don't see all the issue. However, OP, you need to be careful about allegations of abuse.
