Wow. I guess someone has realized that it is impossible to defend Israel's actions so it is simply better to declare criticism of Israel to be out of bounds. Are you one of those people who complains about liberals being PC? Do you hate "safe places" on college campuses?
Would you say that criticism of Iran or Saudi Arabia is anti-Islamic?
1) What I hate is the antisemtic BDS movement spreading through college campuses and stirring up violent acts of antisemitism.
2) And criticism of Iran is definitely a criticism of the Islamic culture, yes. Just as criticism of isrsel is anti-Jewish.
And should be, I might add. Iran was a very westernized country - my Baha'i friends left as children with the massive persecution that began to take place. They remain modernized and westernized to this day. Iran has now mostly fallen to Islamic religious control, and Turkey is well on her way. Iran has proven to be anything but broad-minded towards women and LGBT individuals, to liberal pet causes.

The Jews were in Israel 3300 years ago, way before Islam was born. The Jews got kicked out, just like they've been persecuted and expelled (and gassed!) for their entire existence. Yet all the sympathy, all the time, goes to the Arabs.

Both of you routinely negatively stereotype all Muslims based on the actions of a few, spout blatant falsehoods about Islam, and call for collective action against all Muslims. Yet, you squeal to high heaven when a specific Israeli policy is criticized. The fact that you consider criticism of a specific government policy to the the same general prejudice against an entire religion explains a lot about your thinking.
Also, why is it that both of you can't confine yourself to a single response to one of my posts. Both of you routinely reply multiple times. Do you just not take time to collect your thoughts and have to reply again after you've thought about it more, or are you trying to make it appear that there are more than just two of you?
Edit to add: It is also pretty funny that you two are engaged in an off-topic discussion about free speech, criticizing me, on my website, and essentially trying to provoke me into deleting your posts.

Coming from someone who defends all Muslims at every turn...
Yay!! Thank you. I brought that uo earlier, too. A real case of the pot calling the kettle black.
I saw that! Good job!!
Thanks again. I'm afraid I'm about to be banned from the site, though. I've heard rumors that Jeff does that, and I hope it isn't true.
It's true, but there are ways around it. The 'dark side' has mad skills
I know what you're referring to. But honestly, I feel that if Jeff chooses to shut down speech of dissenting opinions, I'm not going to bother with work-arounds.
I used to feel that way. Ken Cuccinelli taught me otherwise. I respect your decision, though and I fully understand it.

lol
I guess Sanders is self-loathing b/c he declined to speak at an AIPAC gathering.
“A Zionist? What does that mean? Want to define what the word is? Do I think Israel has the right to exist? Yeah, I do. Do I believe that the United States should be playing an even-handed role in terms of its dealings with the Palestinian community in Israel? Absolutely I do.
“Again, I think that you have volatile regions in the world, the Middle East is one of them, and the United States has got to work with other countries around the world to fight for Israel's security and existence at the same time as we fight for a Palestinian state where the people in that country can enjoy a decent standard of living, which is certainly not the case right now. My long-term hope is that instead of pouring so much military aid into Israel, into Egypt, we can provide more economic aid to help improve the standard of living of the people in that area.”

In the 2017 budget proposal, the US is giving Israel 3.1 billion in security assistance.
Yes, he is self-loathing. You find that more among secular, non-prwcticing (or minimally practicing) Jews. It's actually a problem.

+1
The Jew-hating Arabs were offered a two-state solution when Israel was formed in 1948, but they refused. They weren't interested in "sharing" because they did not - and still do not! - recognize Israel's right to exist. They have said repeatedly that they want every Jew wiped out of Israel. Israel needs land to protect itself from people sworn to its destruction.
You have to admit that the deck was loaded in favor of Israel in 1948. The western world's guilt -- particularly Britian and the US -- about what they had allowed to happen to the Jews of Europe was politically overwhelming. The British were still in full colonail power mode and described the Palestinians as powerless date and olive growers, i.e., ignorant farmers and the type of people England found easy to colonize for centuries. The Palestinians did not have a chance against Old Blighty.
Now with the on going support of the US, Israel has crushed and oppressed Israel and continues to take Palestinian land at will.
You, PP, saw a ittle narrow minded not to understand the hatred of the Palestinians for Israel. Think of how the Jews felt when Hitler nationalized all of their property.
