I'm sorry you couldn't tell when you wanted to. I'm curious: Do your parents ever wonder about this? I mean they must be aware that the child looks absolutely nothing like them, right?

Another DE twin mom here. You should tell her now. As a PP mentioned, the counselor the clinic sends you to recommends disclosure to those close to you and the child. Everyone we told was thrilled for us. I didn't tell my parents because they have very old world views about blood relationships. Heirs of my body type of thing. I wish I could've told my mom though. My husband and I discussed it a lot. Wishing you all the best.

I think that's me you're talking about.
I will happily talk at length about this incredibly personal issue to anyone who is struggling with it - as OP is. There were many people I met through online forums who were of great comfort to me when I was struggling with infertility. I try to pay that forward.
People who have zero experience with these issues understandably have far less compassion and sensitivity. Yes that was a really long post I wrote so just don't waste your time on it if it's not relevant to you PP.
