In one sense, I think Northern Ireland would be the best fit for me because they speak English, and abortion/gay marriage are totally illegal. However, social Liberalism seems like it's starting to infect Northern Ireland. Hungary and Russia are both anti-gay/abortion. Hungarys stance on illegal immigration is very good. The issue with those 2 is that I'd have to learn a new language.
It seems kind of silly to write off a country you like, just because you would have to learn a new language. That said, Northern Ireland is 40% Catholic, and Catholics are very progressive on welfare and poverty. So social liberalism has always been there.
And honestly it boggles the mind why you would pick a country based on their abortion/gay rights laws. i thought the whole prepper thing is not giving a shit what other people are doing as long as you can do what you need to do.
But if you want english speaking, anti-abortion, and anti-gay, there should be a good selection of African countries to fit the bill. For instance, Kenya speaks English, outlaws abortion except in the most extreme conditions (similar to Northern Ireland) and puts gay people in prison. You would have to live with black people, but then again you didn't raise that as an issue.
I believe his "prep" refers to prep school. He is in high school.
He is in high school, but the "prep" is because he longs for a world where everyone wears blazers and khakis.

Uh, there's a major flaw in this analogy. Supported of gay marriage and abortion rights tell you to not engage in associated activities if you don't want to but we also don't want you to interfere with the right of others to engage in these activities, so, no, you don't have the right to just violate whatever rights you feel like. This is why we have laws, OP, and you don't get to pick and choose which ones you follow. That would be self-indulgent.PaleoConPrep wrote:When I talk to Liberals about gay marriage and abortion they often say " If you don't support gay marriage, don't marry a man" and " if you don't support abortion, date a woman who doesn't support abortion" So if truth is relative, and it's all about what we "want", why should I pay for
1. Welfare ( food stamps, Section 8 Housing, etc)
AND
Public schools and universities.
I DONT WANT to pay for these. Here's what I'll say. If you want public education and welfare, personally donate your money to the government, so they can specifically use it on this. You have NO RIGHT to use my money for these things.

Problem not gonna get solved bitching about it in here.
If you're really that ticked off then get a legal team and put a case together and take it to court saying that the Sixteenth Amendment, which grants Congress the "power to lay and collect taxes on incomes", is unconstitutional.
If that's too much trouble for you then I guess all you really DO WANT to do is exercise your First Amendment right to whine about shit you don't like which you're definitely doing - congratulations.
Oh that guy? The one who keeps threatening to move to places he thinks don't provide national health care? Loved it when he threatened to move to Australia, land of national healthcare and strong gun control laws. Dude! Wikipedia is your friend!Anonymous wrote:The person who started this is a high school student. I think we should treat him very kindly.

I'm strongly considering it. If the GOP loses this years election, I'm moving 100%. Hungary, Russia, and Northern Ireland are on mt lust.
OP - all of those countries have some form of tax.. Hungary's tax especially is very high. And though they may be "conservative" I guarantee they will spend your tax money on something you don't like there as well.
This is the nature of living in a society. If you don't like it, create your own country. You and your like can carve out a special place for yourselves in this world.

So if you don't want to get robbed and be surroundedby rampant crime, drugs, and murder, I would go ahead and support welfare and schools. I can't believe people are seriously this dumb. Why do you think poor countries with very high income disparity all have giant walls around the wealthy suburbs?
