This was my 92 year old grandmother speaking when discussing a few divorces in our family. She was really disappointed because in her day you just stuck it through unless things were BAD. It just gave me a good perspective on my marriage and raising kids and getting through life. Ehh some years are bad!

Really? I feel the opposite - that life becomes more predictable. Even the ups and downs, and bad things happening unexpectedly, are understandable and predictable now.
